Removing Stones

John 20: 1 Mary Magdalene came early to the tomb, while it was still dark, and saw the stone already taken away from the tomb.

The stone in front of Jesus tomb can be symbolic of major problems in your life. Mary came to the gravesite and found the stone covering the entrance to the tomb already removed. The stone didnt hold Jesus in, the stone only held the world out. He didnt need to move the stone but He did in order to show His power over things of this world.

He is still in the business of moving stones. Stones can represent problems, addictions or anything keeping you from coming closer to the risen Lord. The stones have already been removed all you have to do is step into the freedom Jesus offers. In His death, resurrection and ascension to the Father He provided all you need to live life to the fullest. The freedom from sin is available today. The stones, which kept you from the presence of God, do not exist. In Jesus, you have entrance into the presence of almighty God.

You might say, this all sounds good, theological and fundamental but I still struggle with sin. Yes, and you always will, at least until you leave this world behind. You need to realize the stones (sins) in your life can no longer keep you from God. You have power over sin in Jesus Christ. Each morning and through out each day you must replace the lies (stones) with the truth (Jesus). In fact, the bible tells you God is faithful to forgive you when a stone (sin) pops up in your life. You are told to admit the sin and He will forgive. The stones no longer have power to run your life

Prayer Focus: In the name of Jesus, I ask for forgiveness for all my failures. I know truth is Jesus and I choose to believe I am free from sin because of what He did for me.
